Wet (organic) waste

Wet waste includes all organic materials, in particular food leftovers and what remains of food preparations.

In order to dispose of them, please use bags of mater-bi, a totally biodegradable product obtained from corn. The annual supply of mater-bi bags is provided once a year at the user's home: whoever runs out of bags can buy them in authorized shops.

For a better disposal, in addition to the bags we supply a small bin (to be placed under the sink) and a large brown bin for the waste of several days, to be put out for collection. The wet waste should be placed on the street in the 25-liter bin and not in the 7-liter bin (or loose). In Monfalcone there is VASCO

The citizens of Monfalcone who have difficulty in using the "door-to-door" collection system can bring paper and cardboard, plastic and cans, wet and residual dry waste to VASCO, the mobile container supporting the collection, that is moved in rotation to 8 different points of the city.

In the municipality of Grado, wet waste produced by households (families) must be disposed of in the brown street bins.

Commercial businesses based in the municipality of Grado have at their disposal a brown wheeled bin that will be emptied on a door-to-door basis as follows:

In the municipalities of Duino Aurisina, Monrupino and Sgonico - Zgonik, wet waste must be disposed of in the brown street bins.

In order to make it easier to dispose of this important type of waste, we supply to all users a 7-liter brown bin which might be placed, for example, under the sink; we also supply, on yearly basis, 120 mater-bi bags to protect the inside of the brown container.
