Isontina Ambiente collects plastic packaging together with cans and small metal objects; this material is sent to the Moraro plant to be sorted and then to the relevant processing plants.
Plastic packaging includes all the bottles and flasks containing products for personal hygiene or drinks. Also polystyrene containers (for example ice cream trays) fall into the same category as well as plastic plates and glasses (since April 2012).
In the municipalities where the door-to-door collection is in force, plastic packaging is collected in translucent bags that are delivered free of charge at home once a year; those who run out of stock before the end of the year can buy more bags in authorized points of sale.
The condominium blocks with at least 14 families having enough space inside their property can call the toll-free number and ask for a large container that will have to be placed on the road on the evening before the day of collection (see calendar).
Recycling points in Gorizia
If you are a home user living in Gorizia you can choose to personally dispose of plastic packaging and cans in one of the recycling points. The amount of waste you dispose of is registered by the specific registration system when you enter your tax code. At the end of the year you will be granted a discount on the waste bill on the basis of the amount of plastic packaging and cans that you have disposed of in these recycling points.
In Monfalcone there is VASCO
The citizens of Monfalcone who have difficulty in using the "door-to-door" collection system can bring paper and cardboard, plastic and cans, wet and residual dry waste to VASCO, the mobile container supporting the collection, that is moved in rotation to 8 different points of the city.

In the municipalities of Grado, Duino Aurisina, Monrupino and Sgonico - Zgonik users must dispose of plastic packaging and cans in the appropriate yellow street containers or they can place plastic boxes next to the container.
