Bulky waste and WEEE
Bulky waste refers to durable consumer goods such as appliances, furniture, bed frames, mattresses, which due to their size and characteristics, cannot be disposed of in the regular collection service.
Among bulky waste, there are also some that contain toxic materials (such as lead and mercury) and if not properly treated, they cause significant damage to the environment.
To dispose of bulky waste, citizens, depending on their municipality of residence, have three options available: direct delivery to collection centers, requesting home pickup with prior telephone booking or prior booking via the Junker App, the smartphone application of Isontina Ambiente.
Managed users can dispose of WEEE, or Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), batteries, and accumulators (PA) in the same way as bulky waste, which Isontina Ambiente manages under the agreement signed with the WEEE Coordination.
Thanks to this agreement, now even those who sell appliances can take advantage of the public service to dispose of old appliances collected from the customer at the time of purchasing the new one.
