Residual dry waste

All waste that cannot be recovered, transformed, and reused constitutes the true waste, the so-called residual dry waste.

If the separate collection is carried out with attention and precision, very little material is placed in the residual dry waste container, benefiting the overall cost of the service, which has its Achilles' heel in the collection of this fraction.
To dispose of the residual dry waste, depending on the municipality of residence, either gray bins with a yellow lid or yellow bags are used: the latter are delivered by Isontina Ambiente door to door once a year. Those who run out of them before the next delivery can request an additional roll at one of the company offices or use any bag for waste as long as it is yellow. Black bags are never allowed!!!

Condominiums with internal spaces that have at least 10 resident family units can request a green bin.

In Monfalcone, there is VASCO

Citizens of Monfalcone who have difficulty using the "door-to-door" collection system can bring paper and cardboard, plastic packaging and cans, organic waste, and residual dry waste to VASCO, the mobile container supporting the collection that rotates in 8 locations in the city.

THE EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT FOR THE COLLECTION OF RESIDUAL DRY WASTE

Starting from October 2014, Isontina Ambiente launched an experimental project for the collection of residual dry waste aimed at improving the quantity and quality of the fractions of residual dry waste delivered by users.

This project provides that each user is equipped with a gray bin with a lid fitted with a microchip (RFID TAG) which, at the time of delivery, is uniquely matched to each user.

At the time of collection, the operators in charge of the waste collection read the microchip code with a special bracelet, recording the completed emptying.

In condominiums with at least 10 households, the microchip is applied directly to the bin.

The municipalities that have joined the project are Capriva del Friuli, Cormons, Doberdò del Lago, Dolegna del Collio, Farra d'Isonzo, Fogliano Redipuglia, Gorizia (area A and F), Gradisca d'Isonzo, Mariano del Friuli, Medea, Monrupino, Moraro, Mossa, Romans d'Isonzo, Ronchi dei Legionari, San Canzian d'Isonzo, San Floriano del Collio, San Lorezo Isontino, San Pier d'Isonzo, Sagrado, Savogna d'Isonzo, Sgonico - Zgonik, Staranzano, Turriaco, Villesse.

In the participating municipalities, the use of the gray bin with a yellow or gray lid is mandatory.  

DRY RESIDUAL WASTE in GRADO and DUINO AURISINA

Users of the municipality of Grado and Duino Aurisina for the correct disposal of residual dry waste must use the metal street containers or green ones located in the area.
