The TARI in Medea
Description
Isontina Ambiente manages the municipal waste tax (TARI) on behalf of the Municipality of Medea: since 2021, for domestic users, this tax has been calculated using the pay-as-you-throw method (TARIP).
The introduction of this new tariff method rewards virtuous taxpayers who carefully separate their waste, taking into account how much the residual waste collection service is used.
Each taxpayer is assigned a container equipped with a microchip that uniquely identifies it, and whose code is registered by the operators in charge of collection at each emptying.
Each taxpayer, even in the absence of contributions or failure to collect the bin, and as a deterrent to non-virtuous behaviors such as littering, is charged annually a minimum number of emptying (minimum contribution threshold) deemed consistent with consumption habits and based on the members of the household.
Anyone who owns or holds, in any capacity even de facto, premises and uncovered areas located in the municipal territory, intended for any use, capable of producing urban waste is required to pay the tax.
The management of the tax remains with Isontina Ambiente based on the current regulations in the matter.
The ownership of the tax is of the Municipality.

Calculation methods
The method for the application of the tax is delegated to the regulation for the discipline of the waste tax approved by the City Council, which can be found on the website of the Municipality of Medea.
When to pay
The Municipality of Medea annually decides the payment deadlines for the Tari installments.
An advance payment and a final adjustment are planned: other adjustments are provided for special situations (cessations, takeovers, new users following the issuance of bills, etc.)
Where and how to pay
The notice can be paid via F24 form at all post offices, bank counters, through home banking services (internet), and at tobacco shops with a commission amount that depends on the payment circuit used.
RATES
Annual fee
The TARI is paid based on the type of rate applied for the calendar year.
In Medea, a variable rate called TARIP is applied to domestic users - a rate that is proportional to the surface area of the property, the number of its occupants, and the number of emptying of the residual waste container recorded throughout the year.
In Medea, the TARIP is also applied to non-domestic users: for this category of users, the amount is proportional to the surface area of the business, the type of activity carried out, and the number of emptying of the residual dry waste container recorded during the year.
Daily rate
The daily fee is applied to users who temporarily occupy, with or without authorization, public premises or areas, for public use or areas burdened by public passage servitudes.
It is calculated based on the square meters of occupied surface, for the days of occupation and is determined based on the annual rate of the tax, prorated per day and increased by a percentage amount equal to 100%.
(*) Temporary occupation refers to use for less than 183 days within the year, even if not continuous.

NON-DOMESTIC USERS - REQUEST FOR REDUCTION OF WASTE TARIFF (Legislative Decree 152/06 art. 238 paragraph 10)
Non-domestic users who have chosen to dispose of the recyclable fractions of their urban waste outside the public service and can demonstrate that they have sent them for recovery through a certificate issued by the entity that carries out the recovery activity of the waste itself can request a reduction of the Waste Fee using the form below to be sent to Isontina Ambiente by January 31 of each calendar year.
